What is Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance?

Created by the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr Madan Kataria in 2019, Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance is a unique aerobic exercise routine combining Bollywood dancing with laughter sounds, clapping and deep breathing.

Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance provides:

– Surge of endorphins and energy

– Incredible inside-outside workout that releases stress instantaneously – the perfect stress relief wellness session

– Cardio exercise

The activity is extremely popular because movement, music, and laughter sounds (ho and ha) are easy, and positive chemicals flow into your body very quickly. You’ll feel amazing after just one 4-minute dance, but after the 30-minute Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance session – you’ll feel light, happier – in fact, buzzing!  

Since 2020, we’ve been delivering Bollywood Laughter Dance online and in person. It appeals to a wide audience and bonds participants together, from festivals to communities to businesses.

Sara Kay from Serious Laughter leads you with instructions however the main objective is to move and have fun!

Adapted for all abilities, participants can take part in this type of Bollywood dancing, seated or standing.

Serious Laughter is also able to offer Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance to your company/community either on its own, or as an extra to your workshop (the session lasts 30-45 minutes).
